Celebrity chefs Aarti Sequeira and Stuart O’Keeffe took a tour of the city of Coachella on Monday in advance of the inaugural Date Harvest Festival coming to the city in November.
Both will be on hand on Saturday November 9, 2019 at the Rancho Las Flores Event Venue in Coachella for the food and music festival, which is presented by the local date industry and title sponsor California Date Commission. The event is being held to highlight the different date varieties and various ways to enjoy eating California dates.
In addition to dozens of specialty food vendors, festival goers can try California date dishes from celebrity chefs, including Seqeuira (The Next Food Network Star, Aarti Party), and O’Keeffe (Private Chefs of Beverly Hills) the California Date Commission’s newly named Chef Ambassador.
The tour of the city included a morning in the date groves, coffee at Sixth Street Coffee, and touring Rancho Las Flores Event Venue with festival organizers.
“It was really amazing tasting fresh dates right off the tree and learning how they are grown and harvested as we toured Coachella,” said O’Keeffe.
