A Lake Havasu Peruvian and Cuban-inspired eatery is bringing their food and drinks to Palm Desert.

Signs went up on the former home of the Elephant Bar this week announcing that the Babaloo Lounge is coming soon.

Their official Facebook page for Babaloo Lounge also posted about the eventual opening:

According to their Facebook page, Babaloo Lounge aims to showcase, “the true flavors of each Latin country we draw inspiration from is our approach, and we ensure that the spices from those cultures shines through in every bite.”

The Lake Havasu bar has a happy hour from 2 – 6 PM with discounted drinks and bar bites and they host “festive music” from live bands on the weekends. The Arizona spot scores pretty well on Yelp, with a 4-star average with 168 reviews.

A link for the restaurant’s website is disabled (bummer) as of this posting.

No word yet on an opening date, but we will keep an eye on it.
