Palm Springs Police have arrested a man they suspect robbed an escort outside of a Palm Springs hotel.
Zachary Snider, 28-years-old of Big Bear Lake, was taken into custody on Thursday night at a residence in Moreno Valley. He is facing 3 felony charges: robbery, prohibited person in possession of a firearm, and probation violation.
According to police, the incident occurred at 2:33 a.m. on September 23 outside of a hotel on South Cahuilla Road in Palm Springs. The victim, a licensed female escort, was at the hotel to meet a client. Police say that the victim was confronted by two armed male suspects as she walked outside of the hotel. The suspects demanded property from the victim and took her purse. The suspects then fled the property. Police never located the client that the victim was scheduled to meet.
There was no word if police were searching for additional suspects.
