The Block Sports Bar and Grill will be open again on Friday.

KESQ reports that a new business license was issued for the establishment on Thursday. The bar was closed for an expired business license a couple of weeks ago. The City of Cathedral City inspected the business and, after a two-week process, everything checked out and it was issued the license.

The bar was very excited about reopening, writing on Facebook, “We are OFFICIALLY BACK OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!!! A BIG THANK YOU to the City of Cathedral City, California and the Cathedral City Police Department for all their help during this process!”

In March, two men were shot in the bar’s parking lot.  Just a few weeks ago, a man was shot twice inside the bar.  In June of 2016, three men attacked a man in the bar’s parking lot, leaving him in coma which would end up proving fatal.
