Box of Energy Bars Closes Busy Palm Springs Intersection For Over 3 Hours

A box of energy bars created trouble for drivers on Thursday in Palm Springs, as it single handedly shut down the intersection of Vista Chino and Farrell Drive for over 3 hours.

According to the cops, they received a report at about 8 am of a suspicious package. A lengthy investigation by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Hazardous Device Team determined the package was a box filled with energy bars, reports KESQ.

The intersection was reopened at 11:30 a.m.
