Cinco de Mayo falls on a Friday this year, which gives you a nice chance to start the weekend off right with a margarita, chavela, or just go all in with shots of Patrón. Here’s what’s happening in the Coachella Valley for Cinco de Mayo.

Cinco de Saguaro

The Palm Springs hotel is opening up the Jacinto Lawn for a taco buffet, drink specials, live music, and more.

Coachella Valley Brewing Co.

The Thousand Palms tasting room will have $6 glasses of Harvester – a grapefruit Imperial IPA that comes in at a nice 95 abv.  They will also be serving street tacos and a loaded street dog from KUMA Catering while the funk / reggae band Cake & Brains performs.

Fresh Agave

The Palm Desert spot will be open, just not with Happy Hour prices for the day.

 

bart Lounge

The Cathedral City bar is not just celebrating Cinco de Mayo – they are also having a second year anniversary party. $5 tequila and Coronas plus tacos and a ton of DJs will perform.

Las Casuelas

Las Caseuelas Terraza in Palm Springs will have Mariachi Tesoro de Rebecca Gonzales performing during lunch and in the evening, meanwhile Las Casuelas Nuevas in Rancho Mirage will feature mariachi music, tequila tastings, and fresh tortillas compliments of the “Tortilla Ladies.”

Big Rock Pub

The Indio joint will serve Mexican Mules for $7 and have beer a 5 for $25 beer bucket special – plus food and a performance by BOHEMIO.

Fox & Fiddle

The new-ish Rancho Mirage joint is not exactly a Mexican bar, but they are still going to be serving up street tacos for $2.50, 20 oz Modelos and top-shelf margaritas for $5, and Coronas for $4.
