Coachella 2027 Dates: April 9–11 and April 16–18

Coachella 2027 runs April 9–11 and April 16–18. Both weekends, at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. Those dates are confirmed on the festival’s own site, so there is nothing left to guess at this year.
The rest of this page is what the date announcement actually means if you are trying to buy a pass, book a room, or just get across the valley in April without losing an hour to traffic.
The dates
- Weekend 1: Friday April 9 – Sunday April 11, 2027
- Weekend 2: Friday April 16 – Sunday April 18, 2027
- Where: Empire Polo Club, Indio
- Official site: coachella.com
- Checked: September 11, 2026
Both weekends run the same lineup. The choice between them is about crowds, prices and what you can get your hands on, not about who is playing.
What is still available
This is the part that has changed since the dates went up, and it is the thing most date pages never bother to tell you. As of the check above, the 2027 advance sale has closed.
General admission passes are gone. So is the GA 4-Pack. GA and VIP are both waitlist-only for both weekends now, including GA with the three-day shuttle.
What you can still buy outright, per the festival’s pass page:
- Car camping from $40 a night, $160 for the run, plus transient occupancy tax
- Shuttle pass $150
- Preferred parking $299
- Ready-Set tent camping $172.50 a night, $690 total
- Lake Eldorado $187.50 to $287.50 a night
- La Campana, the luxury tents, $650 to $825 a night — $2,600 to $3,300 for the weekend
Hotel-and-pass bundles are still being sold through the festival’s hospitality partner, which in practice is how a lot of people who missed the advance sale end up going. There is also a payment plan, $49 down with the balance split into installments.
Prices and availability move. Check the pass page before you plan around any of this.
When the lineup lands
Goldenvoice has not published a lineup announcement date for 2027, and no lineup is up as of the check above.
We are not going to guess at one. Date pages that predict the lineup drop are usually wrong and always forgettable. When it is announced, this page gets updated.
What April means if you live here
Two festival weekends, then Stagecoach on April 23–25, is most of a month.
Traffic. The I-10 corridor through Cabazon, Banning and Beaumont backs up hard on Thursday and Friday of each weekend as people drive in from Los Angeles and Orange County. Monday morning going the other way is the same story in reverse. If you have somewhere to be on those days, leave early or go around.
Rooms. Valley hotel rates are at their annual peak across both weekends and Stagecoach. If you have family visiting in April, book it now or move the trip.
Everything else. Restaurants in Indio, La Quinta and Palm Desert are slammed. So are the airports on the Monday.
Picking a weekend
Same lineup, different experience.
By reputation Weekend 1 draws the bigger crowd and the moments that get photographed, and Weekend 2 is the easier ticket and the easier drive. If you are choosing on logistics alone, Weekend 2 is the calmer one.
If you are not going
April is a good month to leave the festival end of the valley alone and go somewhere else. The Salton Sea is at its most pleasant right at the end of its season, and the day trips guide covers the rest.
This page gets updated
Dates are confirmed for 2027. When the lineup and any further on-sale windows are announced, they go in the blocks above. Our full Coachella guide covers tickets, lodging, shuttles and what to actually bring.
