Can a Coachella Wristband Save You Money on Food?

By Published On: April 10, 2015Last Updated: December 30, 2025

Every Coachella weekend, the same question pops up: does that wristband on your arm actually unlock food deals around the desert?

The short answer: sometimes.

In past years, a handful of local restaurants have offered limited-time discounts, specials, or perks for festivalgoers flashing a Coachella wristband. These offers are not official Coachella promotions, they’re individual restaurants trying to capitalize on a very hungry audience.

Pro tip: if someone looks like this, skip the restaurant and consider medical attention first.

How Wristband Deals Actually Work

There is no master list, no official guide, and no guarantee. Any wristband-related food deals are:

  • Created by individual restaurants
  • Usually promoted on social media
  • Often limited to specific days or hours
  • Sometimes quietly discontinued mid-weekend

Translation: if a deal exists, you’ll usually hear about it through Instagram, local Facebook groups, or word of mouth—not the festival itself.

Your Best Bet During Coachella Weekend

If you’re hoping to save money on food during Coachella:

  • Check restaurant social accounts the week of the festival
  • Ask politely if wristbands come with any specials
  • Go early—lines and patience disappear quickly
  • Don’t assume a deal from last year still exists

Some years are better than others. Some weekends, there are no meaningful deals at all. That’s just how it goes.

Update: This post was refreshed to remove expired promotions and clarify how Coachella wristband food deals typically work. Any current offers are determined by individual restaurants and may change year to year.
