A shooting in Desert Hot Springs Tuesday morning left one person injured.

The shooting happened early in the morning in the area of Palm Drive and Ironwood Drive. A police spokesperson told KESQ one person was shot and taken to the hospital.

Roads in the area have been closed for an investigation.
