Desert Trip, a music festival that was at one time sold-out but was not actually sold-out, has seen the ticket resell market crater over the past week.
General admission prices for three-day passes to Weekend One, which were listed on StubHub at $652 at the beginning of June, can be had today for $349 – which is far under the $424 for which the passes are going for on the Desert Trip website.
Standing pit passes, which were priced at $2,399 in June are now at $1,499 – they are available for $1,599 on the official website.
Weekend Two prices have also gone down by huge margins – and there are currently plenty of tickets being sold for less than face value.
Who knows, with this news, maybe next time only people who want to actually go will buy tickets?
