[/media-credit]Cathedral City has numerous problems: a worthless downtown, a catty city council (who just gave themselves a huge raise), a plan for a weird “festival park”…and now you can add rock-throwing douchebag to the list.
Some asshole is allegedly driving around The Cathedral City Cove in the middle of the night and hurling rocks at parked cars. There have been 7 cases of vandalism (6 cars and a house) over 2 weeks. KESQ reports that the rock throwing idiot has even been caught on surveillance video.
And who would do such a thing and why have the cops not captured him, according to KESQ:
Police are looking for a suspect who is likely a man in his late 20s to early 30s. They are also looking for a grey or silver Nissan SUV with out of state license plates.
Residents of the community say they have done their part and now wonder if the Cathedral City Police Department is doing theirs.
“We’re doing the best we can with what we have,” said Captain Chuck Robinson of the Cathedral City Police Department. “We have limited amount of information and we’re taking that information and working it to the best of our ability and hopefully it will pan out and we’re be able to identify and get somebody into custody here shortly.”
No one knows why this jerk is doing this and if you have any info on who it is, the Cat City cops would like to hear from you.
