Four arrested, firearms and drugs seized by CV Violent Crime Gang Task Force in Indio

Firearms and narcotics were seized on Wednesday by the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force (CVVCGTF) in Indio and four people were arrested.

Search warrants were served at various locations, according to a news release. CVVCGTF members seized three firearms, narcotics and arrested four suspects for various crimes:

  • Johnny Vargas, a 32-year-resident of Indio, arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and Post Release Community Supervision Violation.
  • Jackie Hildago, a 27-year-old resident of Indio, arrested for possession of a firearm for sale and possession of methamphetamine.
  • Matthew Borunda, a 30-year-old resident of Indio, for being a felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, gang member in possession of a firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • 17-year-old male juvenile was arrested for a residential burglary that occurred in La Quinta on February 27th.
