Frankinbun has closed
Frankinbun – the Palm Springs hot dog eatery that was featured on Guy Fieri’s Food Network show Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives – has closed its doors.
The restaurant made the announcement on Facebook (spotted first by CV Independent) a few weeks ago – saying that the landlord “decided not to renew our lease.”
They also promised to return in 2020 to the “virtual world.” A recent post also stated that “Frankinbun will rise again.”
The Yelp listing, where Frankinbun averages 3.5 out of 5 stars after 150 reviews, lists the restaurant as “temporarily closed” with a reopening date of 12/31/19.
