Did you see Gavin Newsom in Palm Springs today? Of course you didn’t. You have a job and kids and things to do and his event at the Mizell Senior Center was in the middle of a workday. But, you know who doesn’t? Old people – which is good for Gavin Newsom as they also tend to vote.

You can also see a few younger types (mostly media) and, if you look closely, and, surprise, a few of the Palm Springs City Council members were able to get away from a library chair funeral in time to attend.

Newsom is expected to finish in the top two in the upcoming Gubernatorial primary, so perhaps he will visit the Palm Springs elders to ask for their votes again sometime before November.
