Grocery Outlet Bargain Market plans to open in Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, Yucca Valley

Grocery Outlet Bargain Market, a discount grocery chain with 300 stores in six states, plans to open up three locations in the fall of 2019 in the Coachella Valley.

The store has signed leases in downtown Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs and Yucca Valley, according to the Desert Sun. The store plans on opening at these locations:

  • Palm Springs: 350 South Palm Canyon Drive (in the old Staples building)
  • Desert Hot Springs: A newly built store planned near Vons.
  • Yucca Valley: Inside the old Food 4 Less store on 29 Palms Highway.

Grocery Outlet Bargain Market explains that they are able to offer low-priced groceries by buying excess inventory like packaging changes or manufacturing overruns and move it quickly into their stores.

The chain also offers what they “WOW deals” on products that are offered up to 50% off regular prices.  Customers can sign up for “WOW Alerts” – which will notify shoppers of these unadvertised deals.

It’s expected that each store will hire approximately 20 to 30 employees.
