Caltrans announced Sunday night that a portion of Highway 111 damaged by the Valentine’s Storm from Hell has reopened.
Crews opened up the northbound lanes for both northbound and southbound traffic (one lane each), while the southbound lanes are still closed.

Caltrans advised drivers to use extreme caution when driving through the area.
A $3.5 million emergency contract has been awarded to repair the portion of Highway 111 damaged by the storm. There is no timeline when the work will be completed.
