Rescue crews responded to a hiker suffering a medical emergency on Sunday on the Bump and Grind trail in Rancho Mirage.
Cal Fire responded to the area about 11 am.

A helicopter was called to assist with the rescue, but was called off once crews were able to reach the hiker on foot.

There were no details released about the hiker and their condition.
