Hollywood producer and Coachella Valley resident Jerry Weintraub has died at the age of 77.
Weintraub produced the “Oceans 11” movies, the “Karate Kid” films, “Diner”, “Behind the Candelabra”, and more.
TMZ reports that Weintraub’s been in failing health recently, and he had been at his Palm Desert home with family.
In 2013, Weintraub was interviewed by George Stephanopoulos about “Behind the Candelabra” – which would go on to win an Emmy for outstanding miniseries or movie and had several scenes filmed in Palm Springs:
