Hotel Paseo, which was set to open up on last fall as the only hotel in America’s snooziest shopping district, has seen it’s opening delayed yet again.
The Desert Sun reports that the resort is now aiming for an opening in February after construction issues arose and there was a delay in the arrival of furniture from overseas – which may be a good lesson in buying American made products next time.
The hotel had originally planned to open up in the fall then announced a January opening. This marks the third planned opening date.
The resort appears that it could be kind of cool – rare for sleepy El Paseo – but it’s also going to be pretty pricey. Reservations are being accepted through the hotel’s website – with a three night stay from March 16 – 19 setting you back $389 – $1,589 per night. To save a bit, rates in scorching-hot September, midweek, are currently running $140 to $170.
The hotel’s restaurant and bar, AC3, may open up before the hotel – possibly as early as the end of January.
