Almost a month after four people were stabbed at the Date Festival, an Indio man was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
On February 19, four people were stabbed at the fairgrounds.

The four victims were hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries, according to a news release.
After an investigation by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Coachella Valley Violent Crimes Gang Task Force, 18-year-old Christopher Benavidez was identified as a suspect, reports the Desert Sun.
Friday morning, task force members served a search warrant at a home in the 45-500 block of Monroe Street, where they arrested Benavidez under suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
