Indio man arrested for allegedly threatening Yelp reviewer with a gun

An Indio man was arrested this week after police say he threatened a person who left a negative Yelp review of his auto body business with a gun.

Deputies responded to reports of a man making criminal threats with a firearm at the Andorra Apartments complex on Avenue 46, according to the Desert Sun. Roy Andrew Becerra, 26, was found by officers outside os his apartment and walking to his car. Officers say he was in possession a loaded 9mm handgun that he was not legally permitted to carry.

Becerra was was arrested for allegations of committing a felony while out on bail/release, being a felon in possession of a firearm, being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition, and probation violation.

A search of his home resulted in the discovery of a loaded .357 handgun, which he was legally allowed own and keep in the home.

There was no word on what was said in the Yelp review.
