Indio PD seeking woman accused of pepper spraying caseworker to abduct daughter

The Indio Police Department is looking for a woman they say abducted her daughter after pepper spraying a caseworker on Tuesday.

A 16-year-old was released from an Indio mental health care facility and into the care of a worker with social services.

As the teen was being walked to a car by the worker, police say Latasha Dove pepper sprayed the caseworker and fled with her the teen, who is her daughter, in a 1993 Ford Escort wagon.

Dove is described as a black female adult, 5 foot 9 inches tall and approximately 135 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
