Local 2 news anchor Kris Long may not be able to stop smiling on the evening news tonight, since he won a free car today by hitting a hole-in-one.

Long was one of two golfers (the other being identified only as “Steven S.”) who performed the feat in Friday’s 15th Annual Spotlight 29 Casino Charity Golf Tournament benefitting the Native American Land Conservancy (NALC) at The Classic Club Golf Course.

By hitting the hole-in-one, each happy golfer won a new Buick Verano (base price: $21,000) from Coachella Valley Buick GMC – who I am sure is thrilled..

The odds of an average amateur golfer getting a hole-in-one is 12,500 to 1. The odds of it happening twice in the same day? Well, judging by today, pretty damn good.

Congrats to Long on his big win and hopefully he does not lend the car out to a certain law breaking on-air counterpart.
