A Thousand Palms man was arrested Saturday after police responded to a disturbance that occurred at the Palm Springs Black History Parade.

Officers were called to the corner of Belardo Road an Alejo Road during the parade. They were told that a man was yelling racial slurs at several victims. The victims said that the man walked towards them making a stabbing motion with an object in his hand.

After a brief struggle with the victims, the suspect “pulled his pants down exposing his buttocks then ran away,” according to the PSPD. Officers located the suspect a short distance away.
