A man was taken to the hospital with critical injuries after he was hit by a car in Palm Springs Sunday night.
The pedestrian was struck on North Palm Canyon Drive between Tamarisk and El Alameda Sunday at about 7:20 pm, according to KESQ.

The Desert Sun reports that the man was hit by a Honda Civic, which was left with a smashed windshield. There were no details about the driver.
North Palm Canyon Drive was shut down for several hours for an investigation. It was reopened a little before 1 am Monday.
