Interviewing for a job is nerve racking. You worry about wearing the right clothes, saying the right things, and not coming off like a moron.
One thing that is definitely frowned upon in a job interview is showing up drunk. The only thing worse is physically attacking the person interviewing you. Remarkably, as Fox 5 reports, someone in El Cajon managed to do both of those on Monday.
El Cajon police said a job applicant appeared to be drunk during a job interview with a business on the 200 block of S. Sunshine Avenue.
The applicant became angry with the interviewer when asked about possibly being drunk and a fight broke out, according to police.
The interviewer was stabbed in the arm before the suspect ran away, investigators said. The victim was treated at Sharp Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
Running away did not help the man – as police used the information that the suspect had supplied on his job application to track him down at his home.
He was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
He did not get the job.
