A shooting in Desert Hot Springs Sunday afternoon left a man hospitalized.
Deputies were called to 8th Street about 2:20 pm, a DHS police spokesperson told the Desert Sun. They found a man who was shot in the upper body. He was taken to the hospital.
The victim underwent surgery and is recovering in the ICU, according to KESQ.
Police are investigating and are actively looking for the shooter.
