A Redondo Beach man was arrested on Saturday night after he allegedly stole a car, drove it to a Palm Springs bar, and caused a disturbance.
Palm Springs Police were called about 9:40 pm to East Tahquitz Canyon Way, according to KESQ. Officers were told that a Lyft driver had his white 2015 Toyota Sienna van stolen. A few minutes later, police were flagged down by an employee of a restaurant who informed them that a man was causing a disturbance.
Deputies determined that the man causing the disturbance was the same man who stole the van.
27-year-old Cristian Zartamahecha was arrested and transported to the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning.
The van was returned to its owner.
