Redding Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a Shasta County woman who escaped from cops in a high speed chase while driving a van painted to look like the ‘Mystery Machine’ from the Scooby Doo cartoon.

Authorities received a call on Sunday afternoon from a probation officer regarding Sharon Kay Turman, 51, who was wanted for a probation violation, reports KRCR.

Officers found Turman driving the 1994 Chrysler minivan painted teal and green and tried to conduct a traffic stop. Turman drove away and a high speed pursuit ensued.

Turman led police on a chase at speeds of over 100 mph and hit four cars while driving through a red stoplight.

Eventually, Turman was seen by a police helicopter abandoning her sweet, sweet van (and possibly some Scooby Snacks) and has not been seen since.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Redding Police Department.
