Nissan Promotes Palm Springs, Dinosaurs, Coffee in New Ad

Nissan is out with a new commercial for The Leaf – a car named as such so that any man would be immediately embarrassed to say it out loud.

In the commercial, an annoying hipster couple sets out on a road trip from Los Angeles to Palm Springs. They hit no traffic(?), stop for car-charging and coffee at some nondescript place in Redlands (I guess?), take a selfie with the Cabazon dinosaurs, and finally celebrate their trip at the parking lot of The Palm Springs visitor center (“Yay! Asphalt and sand!!”) – though I guess I would celebrate too if I encountered zero traffic during daylight hours from LA to The Desert.

This makes me want to not buy a Leaf…not that I was ever going to:
