It’s official: Tower of Terror to become dumb Marvel ride
The new look for Tower of Terror
Disney has made official what everyone has already known about for months: they are changing the awesomeness that is the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror into a Guardians of the Galaxy attraction. Sigh.
The company announced that the ride will be shut down in January to make the changes.
Disney made the announcement at Comic-Con in San Diego – where, even surrounded by comic book fans, the news seemed to go over really well:
It's official, Guardians of the Galaxy are taking over Tower of Terror at DCA. It's called GOTG Mission Breakout. People booed.

The ride will still feature the elevator drop, but the rest of the attraction will be changed to focus on Guardians, reports the LA Times.
No word on how much Disney is spending to make the changes.
