The driver of a vehicle was killed and a passenger injured in a single-vehicle crash in Palm Springs on Thursday night.
Palm Springs Police told the Desert Sun that a vehicle with two people inside crossed the median of Gene Autry near Chia Road and came to rest in the opposite lanes. The crash happened about 7:45 pm.

The passenger suffered moderate injuries.
According to KESQ, Gene Autry was closed until 2 am for an investigation.
