A Palm Springs man told KMIR that a recent Uber trip was cancelled after the driver saw that he had a walker.
Bryan Desimas informed the TV station he takes Uber and Lyft all the time and has never had an issue until now.
Desimas said, “I saw the look on his face, a weird look on his face and then he passed me up made a U-turn and turned down the street where he had come-up originally.”
He said there were no spoken words between him and the driver, but he said his facial expression said it all.
Desimas said, “He looked at me and he looked directly at my walker and he turned around and left.”
KMIR contacted Uber about the story and shortly after Desimas received a phone call from their corporate offices to apologize.
