Memorial Day Weekend isn’t just a three-day weekend, it’s also the last hurrah for things to do in the Greater Palm Springs area until temps come back down under a million degrees – so, basically October. Lavender Festival | Starts Thursday
The 15th annual festival in Cherry Valley runs gets started this weekend. The event, which runs through June 20 includes plenty of lavender field photo opps and tours plus food, live music, and shopping.

Pappy + Harriet’s in Pioneertown is always a cool place to see a show and Matisyahu always puts on a good one. Tickets for the 8pm show recently sold out, so be sure to check out StubHub if you want to get in.

The “sexy ambassador of soul” heads into Fantasy Springs Casino to kick off Memorial Day Weekend with a Friday night, 8 pm show. Tickets run $59 to $99.

Spotlight 29 Casino hosts MMA fighting Saturday night with the debut of CFCC in the Coachella Valley. Tickets start at $45.

It’s a Sunday night – but, it’s Memorial Day Weekend, so feel free to rock out to Joan Jett and the Blackhearts with special guest Elle King – who will perform an 8 pm show at Fantasy Springs. Getting in starts at $49.

Suavecito Sundays | Sunday
The city of Coachella concludes its free concerts at Veterans Memorial Park – with Bohemio (Cumbia, Tex-Mex, & Rock en Español) performing at 6 pm. There is also a car show, lawn games, a bounce house, art exhibits and more.

Memorial Day Flower Drop | Memorial Day
The Palm Springs Air Museum will host their annual Memorial Day services to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country as well as their loved ones on Monday. Events include a fly-by and flower drop of over 3,000 red and white carnations from B-25 Mitchell bomber, live music, flight exhibitions, a beer garden, and food booths – including the In-N-Out Burger truck.
