A section of Sunny Dunes Road was closed in Palm Springs on Monday morning after police responded to a call of a man pacing on the roof of a business.

The man climbed on top of Do It Best, a builders supply business, on Industrial Place about 8 am Monday, according to the Desert Sun.

Palm Springs Police closed down the road as they tried to coax down a man down.
Update: The shirtless man has climbed down from the building and was taken into custody.

The name of the man has not been released, but police say they are familiar with him.
According to a #PSPD sgt., the man on the roof is believed to be someone familiar to officers although his identity is still being determined.
