The Palm Springs Police Department is looking for a man suspected of a home invasion robbery.
Deputies responded to a home on East Stevens Road after a 9-1-1 call reported a possible home invasion robbery about 4:40 pm. When officers arrived, the victim said that the suspect had fled, according to a Facebook post by PSPD.
The victim was injured during the robbery and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Neighbors told KESQ that the victim, an elderly woman, was tied up and beaten during the robbery in what PSPD said appears to be a random attack.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was described as wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
