Two South Carolina parents are behind bars after they went way too far in punishing their daughter for eating a Pop-Tart without asking permission.

Via The Herald:

Investigators said James Driggers, 33, and his wife, Crystal, 36, gave their daughter a flashlight, a roll of toilet paper, a whistle and a watch and told her she had to stay out in the woods for a week.

Deputies say the parents told the girl she had to meet someone at a fence at specific times to get food.

The 14-year-old girl was found by authorities two days into her punishment – of which the first day even featured stormy weather.

Both parents were arrested and charged with child neglect.
