Two men were arrested and firearms seized after a search warrant was served at an Indio residence.
The Indio Police Department Street Crimes Unit and Major Crimes Unit, along with Riverside County Sheriff’s Coachella Valley Violent Crimes Gang Task Force, served a search warrant on Columbia Ave. as part of and investigation in reference to a series of armed robberies in Indio and Coachella.
The search yielded evidence to the robbery, along with two AR-15 style rifles and a 9mm handgun.
Damien Perez, 22, was arrested for robbery and several firearms violations. Joseph Martinez, 27, was also arrested for firearms violations.
Both were booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio.
