A man drowned in the pool of the Saguaro hotel in Palm Springs on Sunday.
Authorities arrived about 5:30 p.m. to find a 39-year-old man unconscious outside of a pool, according to KESQ.
Friends of the man said that when they could not find him him they began to look for him and found him at the bottom of the pool. A preliminary investigation indicated it was an accident.

After the man was found, witnesses began to perform rescue efforts on the man until police arrived, according to the Desert Sun.
The man was taken to a local hospital where he died.
A toxicology report will be done to determine if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the drowning.
