Coachella passes and camping go on sale Friday and while most will opt for the General Admission passes that they will hopefully just freakin’ use instead of immediately putting them back up for sale on StubHub, some will opt for a more luxurious ticket and camping – err, I mean, *Sigh*, glamping – package.
High-end camping packages for Coachella start out at $2,458 for the weekend – but c’mon, why stop there? The most elite and expensive option is a four-night stay for two people in a fully furnished Shakir-style tent that includes two VIP tickets to Coachella for only $9,500 – with the option to add two more friends for just $5,000 more. Such a deal!
Now, I know what you’re thinking. That sounds like a lot. Like, more than you have in your back account and possibly more than your car is even worth. Sure, that’s true. But this package comes with air conditioned restroom and shower access and breakfast and late night snacks. It’s all the things you would expect from a room with a continental breakfast at the Holiday Inn, just much, much more expensive! But what price is really too high when you it comes to winning Coachella Instagram?
I mean, if you make $15 an hour, it’s only going to take you 634 hours to pay this off – then again, anyone who actually buys this camping package is surely getting it paid for by the rich Orange County parents and won’t have to worry about that.
