Someone bought Jerry Weintraub’s Bighorn mansion and got one hell of a deal on it

The Palm Desert estate of late Hollywood mega-producer Jerry Weintraub has officially been sold and whoever snatched up the 9,150 square foot Bighorn home got it for what seems likes a great price.

(Google Maps)
The house, which sits on 1.5 acres, was originally listed at $16 million. It selling price was $6.285 million, according to the LA Times.
The home, designed by Guy Dreier, has 6 bedrooms, including a master bedroom that has a “floating bed” that sits above glass showing water below and retractable glass walls.

There is also an English pub, based on the one at London’s Savoy Hotel, a guesthouse complete with its own spa and outdoor bed, and a pool that wraps around the whole house.
Oh yeah, Matt Damon, George Clooney, and Brad Pitt have all stayed there. So the new owner has that going for them.
I am not one who knows much about buying homes for millions of dollars, but all of that for less than $7 million seems like a pretty great price.
