Students from throughout the country took part in demonstrations against gun violence with walkouts on Wednesday morning, including in the Coachella Valley.
More than 3,000 walkouts were planned across the country, with organizers urging students to leave class at 10 am for 17 minutes – one minute for each victim in the Feb. 14 attack at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
