Subway, the sandwich chain you can always find by simply following that awful smell that lingers around each location, could close approximately 500 stores in the United States this year as they look to revitalize their slumping business.
“Looking out over the next decade, we anticipate having a slightly smaller, but more profitable footprint in North America and a significantly larger footprint in the rest of the world,” a Subway spokesperson told FOX Business.
While the company plans on closing many stores here, they do plan to open up 1,000 new restaurants across the rest of the globe – in spots we can only presume the locals have never heard of Jared.
I like Subway, and I’ve never detected an “awful smell.” I hope the 2 Subways near me, in Rancho Mirage and Cathedral City, stay open. Maybe the awful smell that you talk about could be from nearby restaurants?
