Palm Springs police released more details about a double-stabbing in Palm Springs and a sketch of the suspect on Wednesday.

Officers were called to East Tachevah Drive, near Desert Regional hospital about 5:40 pm on September 19.  When they arrived they found a man and a woman about 100 yards away from each other, both with stab wounds.

As the Desert Sun reports the investigation has been slow as the male victim’s injuries have left him unable to speak.  The female victim was interviewed on Saturday after authorities were able to find a Mandarin Chinese translator.

The male victim, a customer, ran out the front door of the massage parlor after he incident.  The female victim, an employee ran out the back. Richard Torres told KMIR he was driving down Tachevah and saw the man and woman who both had deep wounds on their necks.  He then ran into Desert Regional Medical Center to get help.

“His shirt was ripped all the way down,”  Torres told the TV station. “You could see his stomach.”

Police released a sketch of the suspect and describe him as a white or light-skinned Latino man with short dark hair.  He is believed to be between the ages of 30 and 40, and about 5-feet, 10-inches tall.  The suspect was last seen driving a white compact Sedan.

The suspect entered the business and asked for a massage, according to KESQ.  He then stabbed the female employee.  The male customer heard her screams and ran to help, when he was stabbed too.

Both victims are currently listed in stable condition.
