The Halloween season is upon us and that means costumes, haunted houses and parties – oh yeah, it also means CANDY!!!
What kind of candy are you hoping to get this year? Well, that depends on what state you live in…
Product review website The Influenster polled over 40,000 users about their favorite Halloween candy. The survey polled people in all 50 states and included 30 different candies.
Overall, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups was the top choice of candy across the U.S. (because they are great!) and was the most popular treat of them all in Connecticut and Rhode Island. Indiana and Virginia loved themselves some Reese’s too…just in Pieces form.
As far as other states go…
- California, for reasons no one can understand, chose Lifesavers as the top Halloween candy – Lifesavers are ok and all, but the top choice? Come on California, you are better than that!
- Arizona apparently buys all of their Halloween candy at the airport (Toblerone)
- I have never thought of moving to West Virginia until now, as they get handed out OREOS!
- Florida surprises by choosing a logical, yummy choice in Nestle Crunch – come on, you also thought for sure Florida would choose bath salts or something.
- Louisiana opted for Swedish Fish – perhaps they want to put them in a barrel and shoot them with their costume.
- Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Wyoming just love them the taste of cardboard mixed with cat urine (aka candy corn)
