For decades, Cathedral City wasn’t exactly known as a foodie haven. The city was littered with fast food joints and chain restaurants. But, the times they are a changin’ and now some great mom and pop joints are operating in the city – including Tony’s Burgers which is serving up some delicious burgers for lunch and dinner.
Now, normally this is where I would start to type things to explain the place and the burgers, but I think a better place to start is just to show you one.
Looks pretty good yeah? Well, it is! That is “The Love Hater” – one of the many specialty burgers served up at Tony’s Burgers. It’s a burger patty served with extra Roasted Garlic, Grilled Onions, Roasted Red Pepper, and Boursin Cheese. Then there is the Lettuce, Tomatoes, Pickles Chips, and Garlic Aioli all on a Sourdough Bun. And check this out: it’s under $10.
And this isn’t some nothing-burger, this is the real deal. I mean, look!:
And if having extra garlic is not your thing, it’s okay. They a have a ton of burgers to choose from. Things like:
- Texas BBQ Burger: Served with Crispy Bacon, BBQ Sauce, Grilled Onions, and Cheddar Cheese. Lettuce, Tomatoes, and Pickles Chips on a regular Bun.
- Aloha Burger: Served with Fresh sweet Grilled Pineapple, Crispy Bacon, Glazed Teriyaki Sauce and melted Provolone Cheese. Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions, Pickles Chips, and Teriyaki Sauce on a regular Bun.
- Fantasy Burger: Served with Crispy Bacon, Sautéed Mushrooms, Crispy deep fried Onions, and Creamy aged Blue Cheese crumbles. Lettuce, Tomatoes, Pickles Chips, and Chipotle Mayo on a regular Bun.
- OMG Girl!: Served with Two Beer Battered Onion Rings, Crispy Bacon, and American Cheese. Shredded Lettuce, Tomatoes, Pickles Chips, and Tony’s Secret Sauce on a Jalapeño-Cheese Bun
You can check out more menu items from Tony’s Burgers here.
Tony’s Burgers seriously has a ton of burger options – but that’s not all. They also have huge gourmet hot dogs, salads, chicken burgers, and even breakfast.
Plus, what would a burger be without sides? Tony’s has Cajun Fries, Garlic Fries, Truffle Fries and non-fries things like onion rings, avocado fries, and coleslaw.
The place is nothing fancy, but it’s not a dump either. There’s plenty of room to sit inside or, when the temp allows for it, an outside patio too. There’s also a bar area with plenty of TVs if you are looking for a spot to have a beer and a burger while you watch the game.
Owner Tony Cuevas has brought his 25 years of experience to the place and developed a really solid menu consisting of some of the best burgers in the Coachella Valley.
Enjoy Tony’s Burgers!
