Remember how nice and cool and wonderful May was? Welp, those days are over, friend.
Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley will be roasting this week, so much so that the
National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch for Tuesday and Wednesday, when the temp is expected to reach about 113 on Tuesday and possibly as high as 115 on Wednesday.

Naturally, these are not the best days to go hiking. So please don’t do that.
Also be sure to stay out of the sun, drink plenty of water, and check on any elderly friends, relatives, or neighbors. Also, maybe just try being a bit nicer to everyone this week – as it’s just gonna be the pits for all of us.
