LA’s Eaton Canyon is scheduled to have their “upper falls” area shut down to the public tomorrow. The reason, the rocky terrain has resulted 60 rescues over the past 2 and 5 deaths since 2011!
Some have complained of the closure, but The U.S. Forest Service had their decision proven right yesterday when a 19-year-old woman lost her footing and tumbled down a cliff on the trail– which someone below caught on a cell phone video.
Luckily, the woman was able to catch herself on a tree and was later rescued by helicopter. She sustained heavy bruising to her legs.
