A dead body was discovered on a hiking trail in Palm Springs Thursday night.
A female in her late 50s was found dead on the Lykken trail a little after 7 pm, reports The Desert Sun. The body was discovered about five minutes from the trailhead.
There was no indication of criminal activity, according to police.
The high temperature in Palm Springs was 111 degrees on Thursday.
