You can now be the proud owner of KITT from Knight Rider…provided you have an extra couple hundred thousand dollars lying around.
Julien’s Auctions is putting the star of “Knight Rider” up for auction (well, the star that won’t lie on your floor sloppily eating a burger) on June 26th. The Wrap has the info:
The T-Top TransAm, which boasts a keyless ignition system, along with studio-created instruments, controls and monitors, is estimated to fetch between $200,000 and $300,000.
And if that seems a bit steep, keep in mind that the unit will include call sheets and maps indicating when the vehicle was used on the NBC show and which cast members were present.
Sadly, the vehicle does not come with William Daniels to supply the voice to nag you while you are driving…but, seeing as how the winner of the auction can afford $300,000, I am sure they can spring enough for Daniels too.
